    Memorial

This is a design for a small memorial structure.

The memorial in plan (length by width) is proportioned at 1:1.4... which is the same proportion as the yellow paper used in the Daheshist prayer. This proportion also holds true for each of the platforms as well as the side elevation from the bottom of the columns to the top of the architrave (the beam and platform holding the roof structure).

In plan there are six columns, twenty feet in height.

There are two sets of six steps leading up to the upper platform. The first tier of six steps is divided in to six individual sections.

The barrel vaulted roof structure is also divided in to six segments. Prominent at each half round gable end of the roof is a five pointed star.

The primary construction material would be structural concrete faced in limestone.

    Memorial

This is a view of the approach to the upper level platform. The ceiling of the Memorial is divided in to a grid that has lighting between each of the structural elements.

      Memorial

This is a picture of the Memorial with its interior illumination on.

I could see the interior lighting to be on a timer that comes on during the hours of 6:00 am to 12:00 noon and then again at 6:00 pm until 12:00 midnight... the hours between which the Daheshist Prayer is performed each day.
