  • Thank you!

Thank you! Thank you Hussein for posting this and thank you to Dr. Brax for allowing these writings to be printed here. To be able to tangibly read the nuances and clarifications of many of the Daheshist Principles is just so beautiful and inspiring. I found item 18, Preservation of Forms to be especially illuminating...how clear it is our place in the universe and how tangible (not just in concept) our every thought, motive, emotion and act is.

I (and so many others!) look forward to more to read as it becomes available.

    Hi Hussein,

I may be mistaken, but is section 18 (as posted) missing something? It stops short of the following ending sentence and does not go into the "miraculous example":

"And here is a miraculous example that would explain the foregoing:"

David, do you remember what you and I had to go through in order to organize the course on Daheshism at M.I.T. during IAP month, back in 1986? Too bad we didn't have that wealth of information back then!

For the record, we had a rather good turnout the first time around.

In 1987, however, no one showed up...except for Ahmad Younes. We were scheduled to teach the course on Daheshism 3 times. On each occasion, only Ahmad showed up, sat down for...3 hours?...then left. It was both depressing (seeing that no one except a Daheshist brother showed up) and inspiring (the fact that ONLY a Daheshist brother showed up) at the same time. So, I know it may be late in the game, but I would like to go on record with this bit of information because symbolically, it speaks volumes.

Mario, I guess I had read the miraculous example as item 19, the discussion of Adam. Good eye though, maybe we are missing something here.

I do remember! It was one the most humbling experiences of our lives... (you don't mind if I speak for you?) Where were we to start? How much detail would we go in to? We had no idea what sort of turnout we would have, or what sort of reception our discussion would have.

While the second year's lecture turnout was "a bit thin" we had to prepare as if hundreds would show up. On the upside, Ahmad was a great audience and listener! : ) The preparation of material to discuss was rather ordered and we tried to convey in overview the basic concepts of Daheshism.

What I think we took away from the whole experience is what we learned in the preparation of trying to do such a lecture. Late in to the night in the months before the actual lecture, we would run through as many different scenarios as possible as how to respond to the myriad of questions that could potentially arise during the course of the presentation. "What if someone asks this..." "What if someone asks that..." We tried to play out every wild card question possibility. While we felt compelled to give this lecture, we were also very, very nervous, or rather concerned on how to effectively convey the information clearly and effectively. Unfortunately at the time, we had no "support materials" to supplement our presentation: It was just two guys standing up and talking. We were not, and are not, professionals. : )

And what of these two guys talking?
Anyone that knows or has met Mario, knows of his amazing gregarious nature. And frankly, anyone that is in a building that Mario frequents, knows WHO Mario is! I on the other hand, am more of an introvert. I am much more "quiet in my ways". I do not mind talking to people in very small groups or small settings...I do this most every day with reasonable comfort in my business. Mario on the other hand, has a "gift" of commanding attention when he really wants to. He is very animated and human and funny. The dynamic of each of our seemingly opposite natures I think in the end came across as complimentary.

On a personal note, the actual act of giving the lectures we did, played in to almost every fear that I had. It was public speaking, which I do not feel I possess the natural gifts to do; it was talking about Daheshism which is highly personal to each one of us, and conveying something that is in many respects so personal, this was a real hurdle for me; and finally it was the worry of being CLEAR about what or rather HOW we were conveying our information. This was what we worked on the most. While the information and principles we were trying to convey were rather black and white, people tend to listen in shades of gray...

        Hello Mario,
You are not mistaken , And thanks a lot for your notification, i Have already reformed , without adding the miraculous which explain the section "18".
My idea, the miracules will be in a separate division. later we can speak about.
in order to organize the course on Daheshism ,you already doing here in Daheshville, and instead of one teacher and some students, we have some teachers and a lot of students from different places of the world wide.
        Best regards

          David & Mario ...

I would have loved to be there...
I know that you are both talented and inspired artists and I can just imagine how wonderful it must have been.

It is so rare to reach this level of complicity where you have a perfect proportion of Faith, Generosity, Intelligence, Enthusiasm and Talent!!!
But, the alchemy wouldn’t be complete without the Unique Friendship that you share.

Friendship is a Spiritual crown that shines on your happy faces.

Love and Brotherhood are precious gifts that come from God … and I can tell you that you are an example for me.
