  • Moderators, please read!

When replying to posts, make sure you choose "Post Reply" instead of "Edit."

If it is necessary to delete a post: at the far right top corner of the message window, you'll see a small check box. Click it (message field will turn yellow) and then choose Delete Post—and enter reason.

    Thanks!

Good advice ... and I think that this post is just for me
I'll be careful now that I understand how it works
    Thanks

      Special Training for Moderators...

Also, we'll have special drills for the moderators, to test their patience. In the case of French Moderators, some of the exercises might involve poking fun at Jerry Lewis!

Mario... I have a question... for your posts and mine, is it ok if we do quick little edits for each other? I know we are both very precise in our writing and we proof read our work to the best of our abilities before posting. I often go back and read my posts and find little things like using an "a" instead of "an" or other similar stupid little mistakes that I had previously missed. Do you mind if we just go ahead and correct these things for each other? I certainly don't mind if you see something in my post like that and just go ahead and edit it...in fact I would prefer it~! Is it ok if I do that on your posts as well? I am certainly not talking about editing content. I just wanted to make sure that all of our documentation reads as best and correct as can be.

David...yes, of course. That's one of our "duties" as monitors. We obviously can't (at the present time) correct all the "typos" as expeditiously as we would hope to do. Beyond clear typos, if a large percentage of the post is grammatical incorrect, editing one word may in fact create an overall imbalance in the whole and make it worse.
In those instances, is would be better to respond to the post and reuse the same references, but corrected. That way, it can serve as a passive and hopefully discreet teaching tool. And, if a typo is meant for effect, then, we "leeve it aloan"

I thank you David for suggesting the editing of our writings … please, feel free to correct any typographical mistake but also, anything that, in your opinion, could lead to serious misinterpretations.

A “bad English” shouldn’t drag our readers into more confusion …
The “Daheshist experience” is complex enough not to add more “linguistic spice”

Also, some conceptions clear to Daheshists could be badly misunderstood in some other's mind… and I can tell you that I’ve already experienced something weird with my poetical vision of Nudity.

I couldn’t imagine that it would lead us to “naturists' camps”… and so on … …. When we know Doctor Dahesh … My God !!! ... ... Yes, my face is red ...

For that, I apologize … and I thank Mario and David who clarified my lyrical and innocent approach …

Sandrine...your writing and approach to what you were trying to convey was indeed very clear and beautifully said. I too was by the response and the train of thought that followed your message. While some responses might be painful to read, unfortunately it is probably going to be the first of many others that either knowingly or unknowingly ask or respond with a rather shocking lack of decorum or realization of what they are truly saying...or they are just comfortable with their current view of the world and are just interested in passing through here without wiping their feet before entering.

I hope you do not censor or edit yourself from interjecting or initiating your thoughtful posts in the future. As painful as this particular discourse may have been, you obviously did not start something bad...and maybe if others read these posts and are truly sincere about about gaining the understanding they claim they desire...maybe in some small way this exchange is helpful to them and they can one day go back and see the true beauty of what you were trying to convey in the first place.

I look forward to reading more of your posts.

I also commend Mario for his unbelievable decorum in how he molds his responses to be patient and guiding with some of the posts we have read here.

I love this line from the movie THE MATRIX "...there is difference between knowing the path, and walking the path..."

                Dear david,
no one of us is perfect, and especially when we know that the english language is not our native language for most of us . And it's something normal if we correct for each other. But in the same time we haven't to change in the opinion itself.
thanks a lot in advance if you correct for me.

And, to add another level of subtlety: is the path real, or an indoor treadmill?
