More concerning Darrick....what a legal mess this could be for him....

Did anyone ever see the movie "Enemy Mine" or read the book? The scene when the alien is reading from his holy book and the astronaut says some flippant remark...the alien comes unglued and makes a disparaging remark about the astronaut's god...Mickey Mouse!!!....yep....I thought...Mickey Mouse!

I realize there are many faithful Bahais....Portland has a Bahai Temple in St. John's district...it is very simple and distinct in architecture. The Bahia's I have met are very sincere and kind....I guess I just can't get my mind around some of the amazing claims people buy into....there is such a spiritual void it seems in many lives....the web page has me shaking my head and provides a cold wet feeling in my stomach as I read it....such hunger for knowledge...why trade one's birthright for a mess of pottage?

I'm sure there are deep spiritual truths but the mishmash of occultism and Islam and Christianity and Judaism.....offers no true spiritual base to ground oneself in....we end up with the "Dahesh Community of Christ" which is neither Community of Christ or a true follower of Dahesh from all appearances.

Hummm, is his use of the Community of Christ logo on his web page legal?


The seal and the nameplate are both copyrighted material. I had to get permission to use them when printing shirts for the cyber congregation.

It has been brought to the attention of the church legal department and they are checking into Mr. Evenson's use of them.

I was also concerned with the logo and using the "Dahesh Community of Christ" on his webpage. I did forward the website links to an Apostle that I know very well to check into it.

Darrick is stirring up quite a hornets nest. I imagine it could lead to trouble not only for himself but for Dr. Brax as well. Definitely time for Darrick to mend some fences and do a little "reconciling" if he intends to be a part of the Community of Christ.

The only thing good coming out of this is that most of us agree that while Darrick might be a little volatile, Dr. Dahesh himself does not appear to be a kook.

At the risk of sounding redundant, we “Daheshists” do not support Darrick’s positions … He is acting on his own name.

I'd like to remind our readers that Darrick has discovered Daheshism very recently (about 1 year ago) and that Doctor Dahesh himself used to say that He needed 20 years to “make a Daheshist”!

Mario has already mentioned this important notion several times on this forum … Don’t you Mario ?

I’m sure that Darrick has found in Daheshism a faith that echoes his dreams or inner hopes, that deeply touches his soul and answers some of his spiritual questioning …

Unfortunately, the results is an “unexpected zeal” that seems to be disastrous for the bell-being of many people … and most of all : He is giving a distorted and perverted vision of The Truth as revealed by Doctor Dahesh.

We do regret that Darrick’s “spiritual ardor” injured our friends of “The Community Of Christ” and we claim that he is also hurting The Daheshist Faith. Even if he means well, he is doing a lot of damages …

I am sorry to say that his web site is odd and scary for Daheshsists as well, that's why, we gladly offer him our help. We will work with him to change it … if he asks us so.

He has made his own “composition” with the very few information he could find on Doctor Dahesh – knowing that most of the Doctor’s books are in Arabic. He has done this work all alone and took some concepts out of context.

The result is irrelevant and generates uneasiness and sorrows among a lot of people.

Darrick has his own vision, he is acting on his own and follows a path that he was has chosen for himself.

What can we do if he doesn’t want our help and does not listen to anyone ?
In addition ... I do hope that he is not breaking any Law ...

So, we hope that he will accept to work with us as a team …

Legal mess

I was told by the official "Church Secretary" of the Community of Christ that Daheshists could be members of the Community of Christ "as Daheshists". I drew up a "DAheshist Fellowship of the Community of Christ" webpage, and used the Community of Christ LOGO. I sent this to the Church Secretary for approval, and he said WOW you can't use it! So, I took it down.

Daheshists STILL can be members of the Community of Christ AS Daheshists, this is allowed. However, "I" would not be a member of the CoC, because of their pro-gay pro-abortion stand.

Stop trying to make a moutain of a mole-hill.
