  • Regarding the Immaculate Conception of Christ...

... Dahesh himself, before me, in my apartment, with my brother as a witness, said (and I quote) "Christ came into this world as any human child. I don't understand why some people will not accept it. What's the big deal?"

So, for the (DAHESHIST) record, we do NOT believe in the myth of the Immaculate conception. The fact that Jesus Christ was born via sperm and egg does not, and should not diminish who he was.

He was also subject to the law of gravity, no? (among other things).

In order to enter this "dimension" (we call Earth) we must be "created" via the joining of sperm and egg.

    Update your "records."

Jesus was not born of a virgin?

If a Daheshist must believe that the Gospels are wrong, and Jesus was not born of a literal virgin, then I, regrettably, am NOT a Daheshist!

Why would you believe that Doctor Dahesh, a prophet and reincarnation of Jesus Christ (I am paraphrasing your sites), was conceived like all human beings (in other words, from a "non virgin birth) and not Jesus Christ?

        Dear Darrick,

It's nice to see you back. I am really sorry if you have been shocked by what Mario said. But I would just like to say to you one thing: in my opinion, I think Mario could have easily lied if his ultimate goal is to recruit Daheshists. But it's always better to tell the truth so that everybody knows where he or she stands. We're not here to manipulate people. We say things as we have heard them from the Doctor, himself. Maybe some myths have been created to manipulate human beings. We were not there during the time of Jesus Christ. But Mario was there when the Doctor spoke and he has nothing to gain in saying what he is saying beyond doing what he believes is his duty.

And why would a myth be better for humanity than the truth? How does the fact that Jesus Christ was conceived like a normal human being diminish who he was and what he has brought to the Earth and his wonderful message of love?

But I do respect a lot your belief and I think it would be sad if you leave us because Daheshism can be enriching spiritually.

I cannot believe that the Gospels are full of myths and non-historical events. If it was a choice between Dahesh and the Bible, I must choose the bible. However, I don't have to make a choice, I can have them both. Jesus was born of a literal virgin. He was born of Mary and "the Holy Spirit" (meaning an Angel), and sexual intercourse did not take place between them.

A woman CAN make a child without a Man!

... Ok, maybe it wasn't a sperm that caused the birth.

Honestly, the Doctor did not go into such graphic details.

All he said was that Jesus came to the world the usual way, like all humans.

ALSO, Doctor Dahesh added that a woman CAN make a baby without a man AND that science has YET to discover that... So, maybe a woman can generate her own sperm... I don't know... I just report what I hear.

                faith

if you allow me to make a little intervention...i believe whoever is building his faith on miracles such as walking on water, multiplying bread, fish or any other myth or paranormal manifestation is still in the beginner or "weaker" phases of his faith... what more can you ask than the beauty, complexity and vastness of this world?

How about Jesus dying on the Cross?

Darrick, according to the Doctor himself, in his book of tales (3#) of which I have a copy, Jesus Christ (incidentally, that's not THE Christ... but a prophet who had, just like the Doctor, the Spiritual Fluid from THE Christ) ... anyway, Jesus Christ himself says that he was subject to the laws of Earth, he felt hunger, thirst, happiness and sadness and ... basically... like everyone else on that planet, was not immune. THAT's what makes Jesus Christ great. The fact that despite his human side, he was able to surmount certain tests before which other humans would have crumbled. And yet, despite his amazing inner strenght, he himself says (in the book) that he weakened...

How about the Myth of THE REAL Jesus ascending to heaven after 3 days (and not his personality)? Do you believe in that as well?

mario, I agree with you totally. Miracles are NOT important in the big scheme of things. I cannot deny that I saw them however. But, again, I agree with you totally.

But I just want to point out one sad thing:

The minute Ghazi saw my post about gays, he jumped on the bandwagon and sent messages, in which he accused me of lying.

For MONTHS I've posted this message about the Virgin birth and he said nothing UNTIL Darrick complained and threatened to leave Daheshism.

All I see is politics at this point. For my part, I will not sugarcoat what I've heard so that Daheshism would appeal to some people.

Isn't THAT why Darrick you left the Bahai?

                      faith

again if you allow me to propose my opinion...there are different kinds of mentality in people, rational people, emotional people, sensitive, unsusceptible...if they need different arguments and justifications or proofs to believe let it be, as long as this is the way they reach the faith and as long they dont impose it on others. The key to universal truth and love is tolerance, open-mindness and non-violence...the rest is details

                        Well said mario.

Plus (really) belief has nothing to do with proof (except in some cases, such as physics where we go from an assumption, to a theorem to a law). But, where God or "truth" is concerned, to expect proof in order to believe negates the whole thing in my humble opinion.

Very, very, well said mario! (with a small "m"!) Sadly all the facts that we as a group and we as individuals know cannot be moulded or modified so as to "bring people in". The facts are the facts. The Dr. said what he said and wrote what he wrote. While the translations that I have read thus far I believe to be universally understandable, the Dr. did not mince his words. Some information might offend one person's sensibilities, and that same information might inspire another to re-evaluate their thinking. Everyone comes to the party from a different place. It is our journey to understand and build within ourselves the framework of living a life within and through all these parts...and within the big picture.

And as mario said, the rest is just details.

                            Why Darrick left Baha'i

[mario, I agree with you totally. Miracles are NOT important in the big scheme of things. I cannot deny that I saw them however. But, again, I agree with you totally.

DARRICK: I would say that miracles are vitally important to show something is from God or not. If we have no miracles as proof, then Meher Baba has as much right to call himself an Avatar as does Dr. Dahesh does the Beloved Guiding Prophet.

But I just want to point out one sad thing:

The minute Ghazi saw my post about gays, he jumped on the bandwagon and sent messages, in which he accused me of lying.

DARRICK: I don't think Ghazi accused you of that. I think "N" questioned your conclusion that the butler was gay, based upon the butler having a wife and children (which of course does not mean he is not gay or bi).

For MONTHS I've posted this message about the Virgin birth and he said nothing UNTIL Darrick complained and threatened to leave Daheshism.

DARRICK: Did I threaten to leave Daheshism? Well, of course, there is no organization. All I said was that I could not believe in Daheshism if it denied the virgin-birth of Jesus. I can't be a blind follower. If I could, I'd still be a Mormon.

All I see is politics at this point. For my part, I will not sugarcoat what I've heard so that Daheshism would appeal to some people.

Isn't THAT why Darrick you left the Bahai?

DARRICK: I left Baha'i for many reasons, one reason being I was shunned by Baha'is because I didn't believe in the inherent equality of intelligence between human races (and...by the way...neither did 'Abdu'l-Baha and Shoghi Effendi...to the two IMAAMS of the Baha'i Revelation). I really don't think Dr. Brax would go to the trouble of changing doctrines of Daheshism to keep me in. I'd don't think I'm that vital!!!

                              Darrick,

I re-read that whole epistle n#6 and I find Brax's words not consistant.

On the one hand, he says "

"never Dr. Dahesh was tolerant with homosexuals when they trespassed their privacy. In January 1981, while in USA, Dr. Dahesh ordered some Daheshists to expose and attack in writing some Lesbians in Lebanon, even though the civil war was raging and danger was imminent. Surely, he had his spiritual reasons to pick them, but at the same time, he taught us to not be sluggish in front of evil. Mario’s brother, C. C. has the whole story. "

First, I hope you read my reply about this group of Lesbians...

Second of all, I am still unclear here... On the one hand, he's saying that the Doctor was not tolerant with homosexuals when then trespassed their privacy (and I sought to prove he was tolerant when they DIDn't) and on the other hand, he talks about governments having the moral duty not to let them corrupt the straights (incidentally, is there ANY data that shows that a gay couple has turned their adopted kid into a homosexual?)

You're right, Brax did not say the butler was not gay, in so many words. Brax said that he was married etc. Well, what else would he be saying then? He certainly cannot be saying he was bisexual, right? So, the logical conclusion is that Brax was contradicting me.

That's his right, because, he obviously believes he was not gay.

But, it's when he suggested I made it up ... for fun... that was not good.

And Darrick... to me N and G are the same. My personal reasons...

As for Miracles and Proof, in time I'll open another forum. That's a hot debate... And, before anyone says anything... hold on... Wasn't Jesus himself who told his disciple (and I am so sorry for butchering the quote) "Blessed are those who believe without seeing?" Please correct me (I mean it!)
