Under News That You Never See!

I first discovered for myself this interesting group a couple of years ago. Their origin, politics, history, though documented, have not made headlines, nor even noteworthy news copy. They have strangely stayed off of the radar scope even though leading news personalities have been involved in their annual proceedings. I've found it interesting that they seem so interested in US politics. They are known only as the "Bilderberg_Group". For starters:

A few dedicated souls have diligently tracked their activities and made attempts to gather information as best they can on this closely guarded group. The list of names in many cases are some you see in the news frequently and some you never see at all.

And at one of there more recent meetings:

There does seem to be a paranoia in some parts of the world about this group. Although I do have some apprehensions, I don't think I share their extreme point of view.

If you search the internet for information on the Bilderberg Group, you will find history on past meetings that imply all sorts of interference in US politics and other things. For one who likes to track conspiracies, this group provides a lot of material.

I didn't realize when I posted this thread that last week CBS had picked up on a story about concerns over one of Obama's appointees. Actually, I think there are suspicions about more than one appointee. There have even been accusations about Mr Obama himself.

    http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/...n4866504.shtml

I think that one has to try to be objective about the intentions of the Bilderberg Group. There is no doubt that they exist and meet on an annual basis. There is no doubt about some of the key members and the secrecy of their meetings. What is in question is the influence of the organization and the intentions.

What is publicly stated is that they discuss topics of concern in the world and present various perspectives on how to deal with them. This sounds harmless enough.

The following web site is run by a person who does not hide his feelings, motivations, etc, about this group. He also provides a lot of information.

Please disregard if this is redundant.

According to Henry Kissinger (during an interview with CNBC's "Squawk on the Street")

"The president-elect [Obama] is coming into office at a moment when there is upheaval in parts of the world simultaneously, You have india, Pakistan; you have the Jihadist Movement. ... Because of the reception of him is so extraordinary around the world, his task will be to develop an overall strategy for America in this period when a New World Order can be Created."

Here is Jack Van Impe making reference to the statement above and the Bilderberg movement.

For all we know, he might not be at all in touch with the core values of the Builderber group whose name he (I am assuming) is using (Builderberg.org) to promote his own beliefs.

        Or...

He may be expressing exactly what that group believes.
        "Fail, to succeed."

Well, if you spend a few minutes perusing Builderberg.org, it becomes obvious he is not linked to it. He is certainly a little paranoid about it. Tony Gosling has spent significant effort doing some detective work on locating their meetings and agenda over the years.

I've gotten the impression he is at times an alarmist and at other times he is intrigued by the organization. The information on his website seems to ramble on and on. The guy does seem a bit peculiar, but the mystery behind the Bilderberg Group makes it interesting.
