  • About Barnabas

Dear Mario and brothers and sisters, I need to ask an important question if you please.

Its about the gospel of Barnabas.

We all know how much argument did this gospel raise especially between Moslems and Christians.

Of course, our task as Daheshists we need to bring reconciliation to the matter.
To bring reconciliation on ANY matter that involves social issues such as struggles, religious conflicts, racism etc...

But let's get to our main in issue in this subject.
We all know that Barnabas was expelled from Christianity after having a severe conflict with apostle Paul.He was replaced by Apostle Timothy.

The Gospel of Barnabas contained some contradictions regarding the crucifixion. It says that Judas Iscariot was crucified instead of lord Jesus, But our faith in Daheshism clearly contradicts this idea.

But my question is: despite the contradictions that it contained, why would the book once appear in a Daheshist session through a miracle?

Is it because it contained true facts that we don't know of? Is it that Lord Jesus spoke of prophet Mohammed?

We need to know about it, I guess my dear brother Mario would know the answer since he met and knew Dr. Dahesh. Did Dr. Dahesh mention anything about it?

    relative to Barnabas

Coming from the Roman Catholic tradition...it is now easy to see why good old Barnabas was exiled to the trash heap.

One would only have to know, the Holy Bible is the most edited, mis-tanslated, erroneous and manipulated book in the history of the world.
That being understood, we would see that additionally...there are whole chapters, entire Gospels completely missing....as in being burned or otherwise hidden.

We have all of this as a result of the Catholic Church purposely attempting to craft or otherwise limit the wisdom and knowledge being spoon fed to the followers of the man called JesusThe Christ.
Add to the mix, the great difficulty of managing the word from Aramaic, to Hebrew, to Greek and any number of 100's of languages and dialects and we see the utter chaos in delivering a true and factual chronical to believers and researchers, alike. Such the pity!

Pure and simple....most Imams, I studied with, believe that Jesus foretold
of Mohammed and that Jesus will return as a Muslim.

Years ago, I climbed up the mountain on Patmos (Greek Islands) to get a feeling of how the Scriptures were translated....and upon seeing the learned Monks there, I was left with more doubts than any measure of confidence...
...the Holy Bible is what it is....a book for whatever you want it to be!

respectfully, the opinion of Observer Jules

The Doctor had never mentioned Barnabas to me before his passing.

Is it possible that Judas Iscariot was made to look like Jesus, as punishment for having betrayed him? Yes.

Did it actually happen? I don't think so.

      Here is why:

In Strange Tales and Wondrous Legends, Part 3, the Doctor wrote a very long story called: "A conversation between the Wind of America and the Wind of Lebanon"

Basically, the Wind of Lebanon goes into great detail about the events that led to the Lebanese Civil war. It's a pretty sobering read.

One thing that becomes clear, if you so choose to believe it, is that the Catastrophe (i.e., Al Nakba) is a direct result of how the Doctor was treated.

Then we learn that it all was, in the final analysis, the fault of Abd Al-Rahim Al-Shareef Al Khaleely.

According to the story, Al Khaleely would betray the Doctor just as Judas betrayed Jesus Christ. And, on page 45 (precisely) we read that Judas Iscariot hanged himself, due to his feeling guilty over his betrayal.

And whereas Iscariot hanged himself with a rope, "Al Khaleely was given a rope to ridicule himself before the children/people of Palestine..."

In any case, based on that, no, Iscariot was not crucified.
      "Fail, to succeed."

Thanks dear brother Jules for your reply.
Just would like to add that all heavenly books were subjected to distortion, however, and according to our guiding beloved prophet, had not they contained lofty spiritual fluids, they would not have reached our hands and recognized by high scholars in all continents.

Yes, All religions come from one heavenly source; one religion, or source, and many rivers namely heavenly messages.

I believe That the personal interests of the clerics across time led to the catastrophe of creating sects, groups, and parties especially religious and political.

Thanks again dear brother Jules for your important and right words.

Thanks dear Mario for your important reply. Yes my faith in Daheshism clearly states that one of the lofty personalities of Dr. Dahesh was the one that was assassinated, NO DOUBT.

God bless you all. My heartily blessings.

You're welcome. Now, I have a couple of questions for you:

First of all, what prompted you to ask the question in the first place — did someone, out of the blue, tell you about it, or challenge you to a debate?

Secondly, who told you the Gospel of Barnabas appeared in Spiritual Session? Is this something you read, or was told to you by a reliable source?

My dear brother Mario, thanks so much for the question.

              I'll tell you the story.

I have heard about the Gospel of Barnabas when I was 14 or 15 years at school. many of my friends started arguing with me about its veracity. I told them that it contradicts Christianity and the gospels that are attested by time, namely the Gospels of Apostles Mathew, Mark, Luke and John.
These friends tried to prove to me that the four Gospels are wrong, but they couldn't. Thanks God for that.

As a Daheshist believer I liked to have more insight regarding the relationship between Barnabas' Gospel and Daheshism, that's why I asked this question; I liked to raise the issue so that anyone who passes on Daheshville gets enlightened.

As to the information regarding the book that appeared in a spiritual session, all that I remember is that I read it in a Lebanese newspaper called Addiyar, I could have read it in the book called "Dr. Dahesh the man of miracles, a book that is compiled by Alexander Shahin many years ago.

              Any other questions please?

              Your brother in faith,
              Youssef
